Terms of Sale and Licence Terms

Last updated: August 5, 2026

These Terms of Sale and Licence Terms apply to Digital Products purchased from RoofRigor Corp. The product description, selected variant, order confirmation, Digital Product Refund Policy, Digital Delivery Policy, Terms of Service and Professional-Use and Support Disclaimer are incorporated into these terms.

1. Nature of the purchase

You are purchasing a limited licence to use digital materials, not ownership of the underlying copyright, product architecture, brand or reusable source content. The licence is non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable for material breach.

2. Licence tier

The licence shown on the product page and order confirmation controls. Where no separate tier is stated, the licence is for one purchasing individual and one named user.

For RoofRigor Essential and any other product expressly using the same tiers:

  • Individual: use by one named user.
  • Team: use by up to five named users working within the same legal entity.
  • Company: use by up to fifteen named users working within the same legal entity.

Named-user seats may be reassigned when personnel change, but the licence may not be shared concurrently beyond the purchased user limit. Affiliates, parent or subsidiary companies, franchisees, joint ventures, independent contractors and other separate legal entities require their own licence unless RoofRigor provides written authorization. The purchaser must upgrade or obtain additional licences before exceeding the permitted number of users.

3. Permitted use

Subject to payment and compliance with these terms, licensed users may:

  • download and retain a working copy of the purchased files;
  • customize forms, templates and documents for the purchaser’s internal operations;
  • use the materials in the purchaser’s own inspections, projects, training and business workflows;
  • create completed, project-specific reports and deliverables for clients; and
  • share completed client outputs that do not expose reusable blank templates, editable source systems or a substantial portion of the product library.

4. Prohibited use

You must not, without RoofRigor’s prior written authorization:

  • resell, rent, sublicense, gift, lend or transfer the Digital Product or licence;
  • share blank forms, editable templates, source files, spreadsheets, guides or download links with unlicensed users;
  • post the files publicly, upload them to a shared template marketplace or distribute them through a membership, course, association or client portal as reusable resources;
  • remove or conceal copyright, trademark, licence or source notices where they are intended to remain;
  • white-label the reusable RoofRigor system or represent it as a separately developed product;
  • use the materials to create, train, populate or commercialize a competing form library, report system, template package, course or software product; or
  • circumvent user limits, access controls or download protections.

5. Contractors and administrative assistance

A licensed organization may allow its employees and approved internal administrative personnel to use the materials within the purchased user limit. An outside contractor may handle the files only when acting solely on the licensed organization’s behalf, is bound by confidentiality and non-distribution obligations, and does not retain or reuse the materials for other clients. Each person with ongoing substantive use counts toward the user limit.

6. Updates and versions

Where the product description includes updates, the licence includes versions released during the stated update period. Unless stated otherwise for the product, eligible RoofRigor document systems include updates released during the first 12 months after purchase. The purchaser may continue using the version already obtained after that period, but access to later versions, renewed download hosting or additional services may require renewal or another purchase.

The purchaser is responsible for controlling versions, preserving completed project records and deciding whether an update is appropriate for current work. An update does not automatically revise reports or projects already completed.

7. Compatibility

File formats and general compatibility are described on the product page. The purchaser is responsible for maintaining compatible software, devices and security settings. Editing a file in unsupported software may change layout, calculations, form fields or functionality. RoofRigor is not responsible for alterations caused by third-party software, conversion, corruption after delivery or unauthorized modification.

8. Support boundaries

Standard support covers order verification, access, downloads and reasonable general assistance using the supplied files. It does not include custom implementation, data migration, project-specific technical opinions, roof-system design, code interpretation, claim strategy, legal review, report approval, quality assurance of user work or professional sign-off unless separately agreed in writing.

9. User responsibility

Licensed users must independently verify all observations, measurements, references, calculations, requirements and conclusions. The purchaser is responsible for competence, occupational safety, regulatory compliance, insurance, professional licensing and the content of every deliverable it issues. RoofRigor does not become a consultant, inspector, engineer, architect, adjuster, lawyer or other professional on the purchaser’s project merely because its materials are used.

10. Refunds and termination

Refund eligibility is governed by the Digital Product Refund Policy and mandatory law. If a purchase is refunded or the licence is terminated for material breach, all use must stop and all copies must be deleted, except records that must be retained by law. Termination does not remove obligations concerning intellectual property, confidentiality, payment, limitations of liability or completed acts.

11. Enforcement and questions

RoofRigor may request reasonable confirmation of user count or licence compliance where there is a credible concern about unauthorized distribution. Questions about licence scope or additional rights may be sent to support@roofrigor.com. Any expanded distribution, white-label, enterprise or educational right must be granted in writing by RoofRigor.
